Clean Up Better Battery 2 & restore database

Sometimes a simple Restart helps to solve problems. Try it. If not, let’s do a clean-up. But before, it's recommended to export and save the database file.
If you don't want/need to save and restore the battery history database file, then simply skip step 1 and 3.

1. Export the database file:
Open Better Battery 2 and go to the Settings
Click "Export database" und save it anywhere (e.g. Desktop)
Now you can delete the whole preferences folder (step 2)


2. Delete preferences folder:
Open Finder
Press and hold "Alt/Option" and choose "Go" and „Library“ from the menubar
Open the folder "Containers"
Delete the folder „at.agross.battery2“ OR the folder "Better Battery 2" (on macOS Big Sur and higher)
Start Better Battery 2 again (the app creates now new preferences files)
If you followed step 1, you can restore the database now (step 3)


3. Restore the history database:
Open Better Battery 2 and go to the Settings
Click "Import database" and the choose the file you've saved before
Restart Better Battery
